Sting vs Flair

Scott,

Merry Christmas. Considering the egos involved in Crockett at the time how was the main event at the first Clash of the Champions not Dusty vs. Flair, career versus title, to take eyes off of Wrestlemania IV? Perhaps Dusty gets his Midnight Rider angle from getting screwed by the Horsemen, especially if he had Magnum T.A. in his corner. Is this a rare instance where Booker Dusty is overriding Wrestler Dusty?

Sting and Flair was a pretty damn big match as it is.
