WWE Fan Council Survey

By Scott Keith on December 20, 2018

Hey Scott,

Looks like the McMahon Family was serious about listening to the WWE Universe in their shake-up with the latest WWE Fan Council Survey. The survey measured fan interest in specific types of segments (main event matches; specialty matches; matches that move storylines; matches that don't impact storylines, as well as various promo segments…). They also asked for the 'appropriate' time-length for non-main event matches with fans selecting their opinion if each of the following time-lengths were 'always appropriate,' 'sometimes appropriate,' or 'never appropriate': 3-5 mins; 6-10; 11-20; 21-30; or more than 30. They also measured this for main event matches.

The survey also asks fans who are the best developed characters with the entire roster for each show available to check. Followed by the most under-developed.and who we'd like to see more of. They also touched on storylines, asking what we'd like to see more or less of. I thought most interesting was asking if we'd like to see: More matches where winners are rewarded, and losers suffer consequences, and then that question specific to that one. This has been the most in depth survey I've participated in for them. Hope they listen Then, Now, and Forever to my less branded jargon, less announcing, and stop going to commercial immediately after a big spot.
Good, I hope they do get better! I'm in this abusive relationship long-term anyway, I'd like to at least enjoy it. I've always liked Bryan Alvarez's Gold Boat explanation. People would say "You must have been so happy when WCW died!" and his reply was that if WCW was still around and a strong competitor, that would mean that his own website would be stronger and doing better, and in fact if Attitude Era numbers had sustained he could buy a gold boat. Same with me, Money in the Bank 2011 nearly broke my damn website, for example. I want them to get better and have tons of interest from fans! Especially for me personally, because I review all the PPVs regardless and I'd rather watch good ones.
