NWO Nitro followup

Ok, I’m genuinely confused. The PPV concept I get because it was “co-branded” with NWO guys fighting WCW guys. But separating NWO nitro and WCW thunder makes no sense as NWO was created to fight WCW. So what matches would’ve taken place? Hogan vs. Nash in thumb wrestling while bischoff cackled on commentary? You're giving it way more thought than they did. That was one of the most logical questions asked by people watching at the time as well. If you can find video of nWo Saturday Night from around that time, with stuff like Syxx fighting a job guy in an empty arena with Hall and Nash on commentary, you'll get an idea of what the "plan" was, I think.
