Character Development Feuds

Hi Scott, hope you are well.

I was recently watching a Randy Savage-George Steele match (don't ask), and although their matches were often maligned, that feud did a fantastic job of establishing and cementing the characters of both Savage and Elizabeth, and the dynamic between them. The Savage-Steele feud really does deserve to be decently regarded just for those reasons alone.

Can you think of any other feuds that delivered such a wide gulf between match quality and character development?

Undertaker v. Kane. Boom, mic drop.
