What weird bit of wrestling's whacky history are you obsessed with?
For me, it's that mini-run that Animal had teaming with Crush after Hawk skipped out on the team to ride with the Hell's Angels. Everything about that sentence just screams "drugs."
On a related note, I'm eternally fascinated by the drug culture of the past and the crazy shit that guys who do to themselves to maintain The Look. In particular the one that's always stuck with me was Animal telling the stories of Hawk trying to get around drug testing by injecting himself with whatever animal hormones fell under the grey area that was still technically legal. Thus he was shooting monkey and horse hormones as a steroid substitute, trying literally ANYTHING in order to find the perfect mix to maintain his body.
