Crown Jewels shining in the dark

It’s just dawned on me. The arrangement with the Saudi’s I know involves buckets and buckets of dirty money and certain stars the king is looking for but does the agreement also say that the event has to be televised? Like couldn’t they have just done this for crowd and maybe broadcast it on their I’m assuming state controlled network?

Just like how celebrities go over to japan and endorse products that they wouldn’t endorse here because it would hurt their image?
