Would Montreal have worked as a work?

Hey Scott,
Suppose somebody had gone to Bret with a proposed finish of ref bump, Bret gets Shawn in the Sharpshooter and then Vince turns heel on Bret. Is Bret any more likely to agree to do a job, or, in your opinion, was he 100% not losing to Shawn under any circumstances?
Bret was 100% not losing that night.
