Exactly how many matches did Hogan have for Vince after he left the A.W.A before he got the title?
Exactly 2. A tag match with Backlund against Fuji and Tiger Chung Lee at the TV tapings on January 3, and then a squash win over Gilbert Guerrero in the bizarre WWF version of Wrestling at the Chase in St Louis. His next match was the title win over the Sheik.
