Good evening Mr. Keith
Which of the following booking would have drawn more, ppv, tv, and house show gates , over the period of a year, from WM6-WM7:
1. Exactly as it already happened
2. Hogan & Warrior victorious at Summerslam, warrior defeats savage or slaughter at rumble, hogan wins rumble, hogan gets win back from warrior at WM7
3. Earthquake pins hogan at Summerslam, never gets slammed , wins title from warrior at RR, hogan wins rumble, slams and pins quake at WM7
And who’s making a cup final appearance first : jets, leafs or oilers?
I'd say the Canucks but even I'm not that foolish that I can type it without cracking up. I'm gonna say the Leafs because the hockey gods hate everyone.
Anyway, #3 is a hell of an idea and I'm kinda surprised they didn't go that way given how protected that Earthquake was. Given that Hogan v. Warrior was actually kind of a disappointment from a business standpoint, they realistically weren't going to get more of a rematch, and anything was better than the Slaughter storyline. So yeah, have Savage cost Warrior the title against Earthquake and Hogan returns after doubting himself and getting put on the shelf twice? That's money.
