Original Plans for Souled Out 2000 & NWO 2000

Before all the injuries happened, and the card changed, what were the plans for Souled Out 2000? Was Bret supposed to retain the title over Sid, and what about the 3 matches with Jarrett and Benoit?

If Russo had stayed and Bret hadn't had his career ended, were their long term plans for NWO 2000 and do you think it would have made any headway in the Monday Night War?

Was being WCW Champion and the leader of the NWO the right way to use Bret Hart at that point?

There was no long-term plans for anything at that point, as evidenced by the fact that they literally reset the promotion in April. And really it didn't matter how they used Bret because his career was ended in December anyway.
