Hi Scott!
You have mentioned a lot of times that Fritz von Erich is a scumbag among scumbags, but other than rushing his sons along, what else has he done? Don’t get me wrong, that alone makes him total trash, but Bollea’s telling his son he was basically the ‘instrument of god’ after Nick’s brutal accident still makes Bollea number one to me.
Wait, or did Hulk Hogan say that?
Of course, maybe I am underestimating just how ruthless von Erich was with his sons… A ‘reasons Fritz is a scumbag’ article would be awesome. People love to read about scumbags! I imagine that the site might not be thrilled, though…
It's not just that he rushed his sons along, it's that he forced one of them into the business and ruthlessly exploited them all to the point of nearly pimping them out to local businesses to sell tickets. And he clearly knew they had problems coping with the fame and yet left them in that kind of environment anyway. And when the kids had to face consequences, he'd magically make the police investigations disappear.
