Some questions regarding Summerslam 91
Was the Match Made in Hell the right main event, or should they have just done Hogan-Slaughter II?
Did they know that was going to be the main event from the moment WM VII ended and they just added Sid as the Special Referee later on?
Was there an attempt by Vince to get Flair to show up with the NWA Belt?
In regards to Macho Man and Miss Elizabeth's wedding, was the angle with Jake and The Undertaker at the reception always the plan or was it shot last minute because Ultimate Warrior got fired at Summerslam? Was it Vince's
decision to not have Hogan at the reception or was that Macho Man's idea?
1. Hogan v. Slaughter was already dead at the house shows, no way it should have main evented. Even doing the six-man main event here was iffy. Honestly, Hogan v. Undertaker should have been the top match if you're going by who was considered the top heel at that point.
2. They didn't really have it planned that far in advance, no.
3. Of course they wanted Flair there. They would have run Hogan v. Flair if they could get away with it legally, but with the no-compete clause it wasn't going to happen.
4. Yes, the whole Jake angle with Savage was because Warrior flaked out. Things were supposed to go into a completely different direction afterwards and Savage was supposed to rid into the sunset with Liz. He legit wanted to retire and have a Macho Baby.
