Network SD “Older” content

Hey Scott

This is a honest question for the blog. I want to see if others feel this way and if there is some sort of trick I am missing.

I can’t get into a lot of these old shows on the network because the picture quality sucks. Some of the shows don’t even look to be in standard definition, very poor. And the sound is screwy on some of the older stuff. I just can’t sit through it

All the house TVs are all HD and min size of 55”. I am sure this doesn’t help. As the screen is always cropped. It gets cropped by the network. I am sure this is because the old shows were filmed this way

So questions.

Can I adjust any setting to make this better?

Is this the network just being cheap and not upgrading all the programming and just tossing it on the air as is. I think this may be the case as when they do highlight packeges the old highlights are all updated

And just another rant

I remember the WWF took forever to upgrade their live programing to HD. They may of been one of the last, live weekly Episodic television original program to do this. Another example of this cheap billion dollar company and how it really isn’t in it for the fans. Cheap as they can get recorded programing and then just dump it on the network

​Dude, I watch on a 14" laptop screen with a window that’s snapped to one half of the screen so I can have Word open at the same time. It looks fine to me. ​
