Acting in the WWE
By Scott Keith on June 26, 2018
Dear Scott,
Something I am wondering about that may already be happening and I am not currently watching (shocker right?).
It feels like the midcard is better for wrestling compared to previous years-but when it comes to booking and creative they just don’t care.
And lets say they know and accept that for whatever reason they want (maybe a good one) that they do not care that the writing and booking is not good. Ok then, let’s move on everyone.
So if we know the booking and writing is not good-why not focus on the acting? TV shows like Friends are considered great because of the casting.
What I am saying is-do they or if not why don’t they bring in acting teachers to train the wrestlers that are going in with boring material on three hour Raws? Especially when they emphasize scripted promos and just got some money to invest in the future product?

They do exactly that. Rock famously stepped up his promo game in 97 thanks to acting lessons, and guys like John Morrison also did it. Even with coaching, though, not everyone can be good at it.
