Good evening Scott,

Reading the old-school, southern-fried rants, there is something I have wondered; who thought Don Kernodle was a good wrestling name? I know it is his real name, but ring names exist for a reason. Some names just sound un-intimidating. Can you imagine The Architect, the Kingslayer, Intercontinental Champion Colby Lopez?

Conversely, we have Liv Morgan, who’s real bio is Gianna Daddio from New Joisey, which seems great as is.

Do you have any particular favorite or disliked ring names? I think Apollo Crews and Ruby Riot (minus the unnecessary T) are pretty good. I’ve never liked Fandango or Dolph Ziggler.

Jake “the Snake” Roberts, “Rowdy” Roddy Piper, Randy Savage, King Kong Bundy, Hulk Hogan…. there were some good names back in the day. Daddy’s brother, Leaping Lanny Poffo , could have used a ring name.

​I still stand by my assertion that Ravishing Rick Rude is the greatest wrestling name of all time. Probably one of the worst is Chris Harris. Doesn’t flow at all.​
