2017 – Best Year Ever?

Hey Scott,
Alvarez mentioned on a recent WOR that he felt 2017 was the best year of wrestling ever from a purely in ring standpoint and Dave agreed, do you? If not what do you think is, or should be part of the conversation at least?

It was a pretty damn great year overall, especially for New Japan. Dave was saying that stuff that would normally win walking away, like Omega vs Ishii from Long Beach, didn't even place this year. Even WWE was no slouch, typically producing at least one **** match or better per PPV. I think the abundance of streaming services really helped bring more attention to all the great matches, especially from NXT and the smaller groups like PROGRESS and the like.
