The Original Screwjob

Of course everyone knows about the Montreal Screwjob, but I didn't know until recently that there was a similar incident with Wendi Richter and the Fabulous Moolah in the 80s. What was the deal with that? Did Vince orchestrate that one too?
Yup. Wendi thought she was a huge star, and Vince wanted her to sign a new contract at a reduced rate before her match with Moolah. So he literally got an agent to shove the contract into her hands at the Gorilla position and demand she sign it on the spot. She refused, so the finish of the match was changed on the fly and Moolah pinned her with a shoot cradle. Wendi quit on the spot and never returned. And hey, she was never anything in the business after that, so Vince was probably right to cut her loose.
