Favorite Comics Run

Hey Scott,

Hope all is well.

As a long time comic book reader, what are some of your favorite runs on a book? I am mostly an old school 80's guy, so I go to Simonson's Mighty Thor, Byrne's FF, PAD's Incredible Hulk, Claremont's Uncanny X-Men, and I have an incredible soft spot in my heart for Gruenwald's frequently goofy Captain America run, but I also can't deny the awesomeness of 90's era Waid's Flash, Morrison's JLA, and James Robinson's Starman.

What about you? What are your classics?

Waid's Flash, of course. I really loved Superior Spider-Man and the whole Dan Slott run. The “BWAAHAHAHAHA” Keith Giffen Justice League was definitive for me. John Byrne's Superman relaunch. The Wolfman-Perez Titans. Daniel Way's Deadpool. The Legion in the 80s with Polar Boy and Interlac everywhere was what introduced me to comics, in fact.
I've actually fallen out of current stuff again because it was getting way too expensive to keep up, though. Even the WWE one!
