The Phantom Shoot

Hey, Scott:
Your latest Coliseum Video write-up — and the Wendi Richter/Moolah shoot — reminded me of the David Sammartino/Ron Shaw incident from roughly the same time. Obviously not as memorable due to David never achieving any level of fame, but have you ever heard an explanation for it?
Mostly it was David trying to send a middle finger to Vince by throwing the match. Pretty sure Vince didn't give a good goddamn but that was his explanation.
