Do you think Dusty had finally developed a quality roster to book by early '92 before Bill Watts came in with his vision? Company still loses money, but, morale probably does not deteriorate as rapidly if they have random Turner executive in charge of Dusty rather than Watts. Plus, I think Dusty could have done amazing things booking Jake Roberts for 9-12 month runm
Also did Dave ever discuss how things were in the early days of Turner between Jim Barnett and Ole Anderson? On the one hand you had one of the most vindictive people in wrestling history..On the other, Ole.
Quality burn there.
I think Dusty was just done as a booker by 92, and he already had all the second and third chances he was going to get. Besides, the whole company was shifting to the committee format anyway, and getting along with others was never Dusty's strong suit.
