HI Scott,

With Almas in the Rumble and the general idea floating around that the NXT champion makes the rumble each year. What would you think about a story where a popular but down on their luck wrestler drops down to NXT to get their groove back, wins the NXT championship the night before the rumble, rides that momentum to win the rumble and main events Wrestlemania for the title?

This would be tailor made for Daniel Bryan, but who else could it work for?

​I don't know that it's such a great idea, to be honest. There's a lot less eyeballs on the NXT product and I feel like mixing the continuity is asking for trouble on a lot of levels. Like, say, Dolph Ziggler goes to NXT and wins that title, then Vince changes his mind and Dolph doesn't get to WM. Defeats the purpose. Or even best case, Dolph wins the WWE/Universal title at WM​, suddenly the NXT belt looks like a secondary belt to be discarded. I just don't see a good scenario.
