Windham vs Flair: Slamboree 94

As we get closer in the Observer recaps to Slamboree and Barry Windham making a one off return to face Flair for the World Title, I always wondered, who ultimately convinced Windham to do the match? It seems based on the recaps that Barry really wasn't interested in being involved in the match at all. And he was in awful physical shape for the bout. Was it a favor to Flair? Or was he still under contract and Bischoff basically forced him into it? Was there any chance of a full time return?

Windham was married into money at that point and had pretty much zero interest in coming back to wrestling, so I imagine it was a favor to either Flair or Dusty.
