Mega Powers Part 1

It occurred to me reading your Unreleased Rant that Hogan/Piper were the original Mega Powers. Let's pretend Andre couldn't go at Mania 3. You think a tag team of Hogan & Piper vs. Orndorff & Adonis with Career vs. Hair stip could've main evented? Were they a big enough draw?
I don't feel like that particular configuration would have worked, no. Maybe Hogan v. Orndorff as the long-rumored emergency backup, but even then it was already pretty convincingly blown off by that point.
