Strength and Weaknesses of a Promoter

Hey Scott. Always appreciate your insight.
For the sake of argument I’d like to lump everyone – promoters, bookers, writers, agents, whatever – into the category “creative”.
In your opinion, what is the biggest strength/weakness of each “creative” person:
Sounds like a job interview. OK then…
Jim Cornette
Deep understanding of the business / Too set in one specific part of the business.
Paul Heyman
Knows how to get himself and talent over / Not always a good judge of which is the right talent to get over.
Verne Gagne
Knew his audience extremely well / Only knew how to play to that audience.
Dusty Rhodes
Very creative finishes and storylines / Obsessed with that creativity at the expense of finishes making sense within context.
Stu Hart
Very open to a wide range of interpretations of wrestling could be / Not able to see big picture for wrestling’s business end.
Vince Russo
Very creative for one show at a time / Everything else.
Bill Watts
Very strong booking of one specific type of wrestling / No real understanding of the modern business.
Eric Bischoff
Strong main event focus / Main events booked at the expense of the rest of the card.
Vince McMahon
Willing to try anything / Inability to tell when bad ideas aren’t working.
Now, let’s say you’re hooked up with unlimited funds to start you own wrestling company and you need a partner. Who do you think you’ll gel with the most along with creating the most profitable/entertaining product?
I think I could work with Paul Heyman as long as he’s kept away from the money end. He’s also realistically the only one on the list other than Vince who could still run a promotion.
