The Greatness of Muta

Given the fact that he was talked out of a face run, plus all the "Because WCW" reasons, is Muta the greatest wrestler that failed to reach his true potential because of terrible booking?

​I dunno, he did pretty okay for himself in Japan, I guess.

The problem with Muta is that his motivation levels fall off pretty sharply when he’s not the top guy on the show​. Plus even by the early 90s his knees were completely shot from years of doing the moonsault, so it’s tough to consider him a contender for guy to build a company around in the US. Could WCW have capitalized on him when he was hot and got more mileage out of him? Yeah. But he had a definite shelf life anyway.
