Ricky Steamboat What If Question

Hi Scott,

Quick what if question for you – what do you think happens to Ricky Steamboat if he doesn’t get injured and forced to retire in 1994? Does he stick around WCW through to the Nitro era giving us matches with Eddie/Benoit/Malenko etc before taking a boatload of NWO beatdowns in 1996? Could you see him heading back to the WWF? Or was he on the road to retirement at that point anyway?

The day they asked Ricky to take an nWo beat down is the day he retires for the millionth time and opens another gym. Or jumps back to the WWF. I bet you could repeat that pattern on either side of the promotion war until he was legit forced into retirement by injury.
