Smart Crowds
By Scott Keith on April 5, 2017
Hey Scott,
Having just watched RAW post-Mania, I got to thinking about crowds in general. First off, you gotta love how they had the announcers pretty much issue a disclaimer and basically say don’t listen to this crazy crowd. Second, doesn’t it come off as a tad hypocritical to anyone else that the so-called smart crowd who hates Reigns, Cena, and the like cheers for Bayley and Enzo/Cass, which are both kid-friendly acts? Also, when you throw the f-bomb in your crowd chants on a PG show, they’re probably going to start muting you, which is why it sounded quieter when the Hardys and others came out last night. Finally, the singing and praising wrestlers who deserve it is fine, but the beach ball shit, what-ing, and trying to get yourself over has gotta go. Thoughts?

I think it’s sad that WWE has to "apologize" for crowds reacting to their shows and having fun. But I’m also wishing the "smart" crowds would lay off the language at shows filled with kids.
