Health coverage

By Scott Keith on March 24, 2017

With healthcare being a major subject in the US and the observer reviews here’s a question:

Is health insurance now covered by the WWE? Like a guy like Rollins destroys his knee, the surgery and rehab is covered right? What if Tyler Breeze wrecked his knee? Or an NXT wrestler?

Back then it seems when an injury happened, a lawsuit followed, signifying the company low balled them or refused to pay. Could you imagine Seth had to miss Mania again, and sued Samoa Joe for causing his injury?

The company covers injuries that occur in the ring or while "on duty" so to speak, but if you blow out your knee while rollerblading or in the gym, you’re on your own. They’re generally pretty liberal about covering stuff now, though, because amazingly they have come to the realization that healthy guys are necessary to run a business and prevent lawsuits. That being said, Paige’s big issue was that they wouldn’t cover her back surgery because it was a pre-existing condition and their doctors wouldn’t recommend surgery for it, so it can vary greatly by situation.
