WCW 1992 – The Medic
By Scott Keith on February 12, 2017
Hi Scott,
Loving the Observer Flashbacks.
We’re right up to the time at which there was a masked jobber appearing on TV, billed as "from the State Hospital, The Medic".
Here’s Sting vs. The Medic

There is some discussion online as to who was under the hood – some even claim it was Terry Funk. Others say it wasn’t Funk, as the Medic uses right hand punches, while Funk was a leftie. I would say that this argument is not dispositive, because Funk would know that his left would be a giveaway and would therefore use his weaker hand to punch while wrestling as the Medic.
Any insight from the Observer, or from your general knowledge, as to who was actually under the hood as the Medic?
Thanks for answering the questions that keep me up at night.
I have no insight from the Observer or anything, but if we’re throwing out potential guys doing the role as a gag, he wrestles and bumps more like Dick Slater than Terry Funk. Plus he yells a lot and sounds like Slater, and he see the closeup of his face and his hair is blond. That’d be my vote.
