HOF class of No Way in Hell

By Scott Keith on February 4, 2017

Scott, MMA here. Well, it’s that time of year of again where you get your inbox bombed with questions about the WWE HOF. But instead of the usual "How is (X) guy not in while Koko is?" B.S., let’s talk about people that will NEVER be in. We’ll just skip Benoit here.

Owen Hart: Obviously a unique case, as I’m sure Vince would have already put him in if Martha would allow it, but I don’t see that happening anytime soon. We can safely add him to the never list.

Chyna: Not only is the ex of the guy that Vince’s daughter married, but did a porno. And not just any porn, but a porn where some of the "characters" were doing parodies of Vince and various other WWE personalities. And you run into the whole problem of her dying of a drug overdose that is keeping a lot of deserving guys out. Me or you get in before she does.

Jeff Jarrett: Supposedly him and Vince buried the hatchet when Jarrett’s first wife died, so in this case it’s more fan apathy. Is anyone buying a ticket to see him at the HOF ceremony? Does anyone care if he’s in or not? Show of hands… didn’t think so. Founding TNA sure doesn’t help either.

Shane Douglas: Hates Vince, HATES the Clique, definitely couldn’t be trusted with a live mic at the ceremony. And fits into the fan apathy category even more than Jarrett, who gives a fuck about Shane Douglas? Even most hardcore ECW marks like myself can’t stand the guy.

Raven: I think he really deserves to be in just for his incredible character work in ECW, and to some extent WCW. But Vince hates his guts and Raven recently tried to sue him. Also not much of a draw unless they have WM in Philly.

Anyone I’m missing? I’m leaving out Demolition because because they might sell tickets, and Vince has proven many time he can put his feelings aside if he can make money.

I feel like Vince would put in Demolition, but specifically make sure to induct Smash and Crush only. I think Shane Douglas COULD go in, but just never would because he’s such a footnote on history anyway. I think Jim Crockett SHOULD go in, and I feel like Vince would have let bygones be bygones by this point, but I just don’t see him acknowledging the competition that Crockett presented, even so many years later.

Also, on the "obvious missing people" from this list, Ole Anderson. And I bet he’ll never get a small business loan again in his life as long as Linda is in charge.
