As I was incredibly bored at work today, I thought of this idea. If Rollins is unable to wrestle at WrestleMania….what if at WrestleMania they did a Raw vs Smackdown match? Storyline wise would be easy… Daniel Bryan goes off on a rant on Talking Smack about Steph mis-using the cruiserweights and how he could do it better. Calls her a clueless idiot. Steph gets pissed and wants her husband to kick his ass but can’t wrestle him because he’s retired. So he tells Bryan to pick someone from his roster. Triple H vs AJ Styles.

If Raw/Triple H wins, Steph takes over Smackdown as well. If Smackdown/AJ wins, the cruiserweight division becomes exclusive to 205 Live and Daniel Bryan becomes the General Manager of that brand. Daniel would then either do both Smackdown and 205 Live or just the latter and maybe Angle takes his spot on Smackdown?

This would give AJ a nice rub beating Triple H at WrestleMania in an awesome match AND get the cruiserweights into their own world where they can be the main event instead of random "purple rope" segments where they come across as beneath the main event scene. They desperately need to be in their own world. They look like scrubs on Raw. Maybe even have their own network specials from Full Sail?

​As much as a I agree that using the purple rope segments on RAW to fill time is a complete waste and makes them look like a sideshow, having someone win a match to "liberate" them from the show would make them look even worse, since basically you’re saying "Your guy won the match, so as a result you don’t get to wrestle on the most important show we have!" And we REALLY don’t need more commissioners or GMs or authority figures. Like, REALLY don’t. Sorry, no buys.​
