Rumble Stips

In the long history of Rumbles, why hasn’t anyone ever brought a foreign object to the ring to beat the living hell out of the other wrestlers as there are no dqs? Literally the only way to win is throwing someone over the top rope, so especially if you are among the first entrants why not bring a chair, or 2×4, or kendo stick and have your way? I didn’t watch most of the Rumbles from 2005 on until the past few so maybe this was done, but it seems like a decent strategy. The only time I can recall is Jake and his snake getting Andre out. Also, lets say your gimmick involved handcuffs that you usually use to trap a fella to keep him in the ring, why wouldn’t you just cuff yourself to the bottom rope and call it a day? I mean, the Mountie had an electric fucking stick!! Why not just bring that bad boy in and toss fools?!

I think, in kayfabe, referees will basically throw you out of the match if you attempt shenanigans such as those.

That handcuffs idea is genius, however. I can see someone like Miz handcuffing himself to the top rope. And then hopefully they’ll tear down the ring and leave him in the warehouse in Stamford when the show is over.
