WWE Canadian Championship Tourney?

So, I’m watching the UK Tourney and just loving it. I enjoyed the Cruiserweight tournament last summer but I felt it ran out of steam by the end. This 2 show format feels perfect. The hot crowd and pace of the matches are on point. I’m impressed how well they’ve presented the major players and have got them over effectively.

My interest is peaked in the possibility of doing something like this in Toronto or Montreal, bringing out the best of the Canadian Indies. If the rumours are true about Kyle O’Reilly in talks with WWE, that’d be a hell of a way to introduce him. Mauro is tailor-made for commentary. As a fellow Canadian, any thoughts?

​Yeah, but if there was great reams of untapped Canadian talent, they’d already be in WWE, ya know? It’s not like Canada is a foreign country that’s inaccessible to them. The other issue would be that running Canadian markets on a regular basis just isn’t financially viable for them any longer, which is why they no longer do it. Any "Canadian territory" that they want to establish would likely end up being Toronto/Montreal just because of logistics. Doing overseas tournaments would be much more helpful, I’d say. ​
