New TV Deal
By Scott Keith on December 18, 2016
When the WWE’s current deal with USA is over, don’t you think they should start looking for a new home for RAW/SD, even if it’s for less money? Heck, he could probably just buy one of those obscure stations (like the one TNA is currently on) and just turn it into an outright wrestling channel. I’m sure some cable channel would love having WWE with them, even with the ratings they’re currently getting. RAW/SD have been on other stations in the past. I just the upside of them leaving. You?
Yeah, but they DID try to leave, and no one wanted them. It wasn’t a case where they had a bunch of offers and USA offered the most. USA was literally the only bidder for them. If the Network was doing 3 or 4 million subscribers to make up for the audience that would be lost by leaving USA, that’s one thing, but dropping USA and going somewhere like Pop TV would be suicide for the company.
On the bright side, at least they’d probably be able to cut RAW back down to two hours again.
