WM8 Venue

Hi Scott,

In the latest Observer Flashback you mention that WM 8 was in the Hooiserdome. Was this not been seen as a big risk at the time considering what happen with WM 7? I am just surprised the Hooiserdome was announced so quickly after. It paid off at the end of course, but considering there wasn’t really any planned for Mania. (Like you mention Hogan/Taker wasn’t happening then) where they banking on Hogan/Sid? Then of course, Ric Flair fell on there lap.

Quick follow up to this question is – this have any effect the next year in having Summerslam in Wembley or is that a completely different situation?

​They have to book those shows WAY in advance, and the Dome would have been booked well before they had Flair, or even Sid 100%. They were just taking a shot in the dark and hoping that they signed Sid, as far as I know. ​
