Merch money question

Hey Scott-

You said something about how you can’t imagine how much money New Day must be making off of merch. My question is. Is that already put in their contracts? What stops WWE from just deciding that they get less a percentage or just just changing anything on a whim? I’m sure Jericho, Kane, Orton, Show etc are grandfathered in but with no other real completion does anything stop them from shorting them on money?

Random question because he went to my high school. Does King Kong Bundy have any beef with WWE? Surprised he isn’t in the hof.

​The merch situation is complicated now, but typically, yes, it stipulates in the contract that talent gets <x>% of merchandise to supplement their downside. But I have no idea how it works for the New Day, where it’s three people sharing in one merchandise line. As far as I’m aware it’s decided well ahead of time, unlike house show payoffs and PPV revenues now where it’s just a number decided on a whim by Vince.

And I think everyone is surprised that Bundy isn’t in. He’s notoriously sticky to deal with, but you’d think he’d be a no-brainer. ​
