WWE vs UFC

The WWE continues to baffle me. So they take the one box office draw that they have, the one they sacrificed the Undertaker’s streak to build, and have him job in one minute to a part time guy that maybe has 5 matches left in him max. They make this guy they’ve spent three years building look like a complete moron and their justification is well our fans are wise to matches that finish quickly because of the UFC. Someone please let Vince and the hhhs know that the difference between you and UFC is that YOU CAN FIX THE OUTCOMES OF THE MATCHES! Don’t you think if UFC could have Rhonda Rousey win every match she has they would? Do you think they wanted to crush her drawing power and diminish her desire to remain in the sport by having her lose to someone so currently insignificant I can’t remember her name? When you control the matches you get to decide who wins. Just like I get to tell you that having the only wrestlemania draw you have left lose to a 50 year old man who can’t work a match longer than a bathroom break is really stupid.

​I don’t hate the Goldberg deal, I just wish it was to benefit someone who wasn’t coming out of retirement for a couple of matches and then going right back into it again. Having Brock get cocky and lose in a minute is a cool idea that we can now do in the Network Era where PPV doesn’t matter and every show doesn’t HAVE to go 2:50 like clockwork. It personally doesn’t make me excited to see the rematch or anything, but good on them for trying something different. ​
