Do they go full WCW and put the belt on Ellsworth? Even in a 24hr Ryder-reign? What about the lesser of evils and stick him in the cruiserweight competition to give that some life? Question mark?

​I think there would be some comedic value for sure if they did a deal where Ellsworth wins the title by surviving the beating of a lifetime while AJ & Ambrose are busy assaulting each other, only to come out the next night to arrogantly issue an open challenge and get completely squashed by Goldberg. But that’s the only way it would have value: Moving it from the midcard feud of Styles and Ambrose trading wins and putting it on a real star. Not that AJ hasn’t been awesome, but I had people who aren’t even normally wrestling fans coming up to me at work and asking about Goldberg’s return because they heard he was back. THAT’S the guy who should be champion.
