Honky tonk man owns Jim Duggans name?

Scott,
I just read this interview and was wondering if you had any insight.

I know HTM owns his gimmick, but is there any truth to him buying other people’s gimmicks? I recall a story a few years ago about the Patriot gimmick being used by Tom Brandi without Del Wilkes permission, so I’m unsure if that’s related to HTM as well.
Perhaps Roberts is confused, or he’s referring to the Hacksaw part of Duggans name…
Again, any insight you can provide is appreciated…
I mean, you certainly CAN buy other people’s gimmicks. As noted, Tom Brandi purchased the rights to the Patriot gimmick, and I know there’s been other cases like Jack Evans buying the rights to the Blitzkrieg gimmick, but I’ve never heard about Jim Duggan selling his. Maybe Honky bought the rights to the legendary dildo blender?
