60 Days In

So the second season has pretty much wrapped up. Feel free to compare and contrast with Season 1? I started out liking the first season better, but the back half of season 2 grew on me, mainly because Ryan was a great character that pushed the boundaries of the program and the rocky relationship between Ashleigh and Zach. Thoughts?
Perhaps that’s what Donald Trump is doing — a reality show. "We take a crazy person with no military or political experience and make him the President of the United States for 60 days!" So we’re all just waiting for the big reveal now.
Anyway, Ryan was indeed a perplexing character who came up with wacky ways to game the system despite everything that the talking sheriff heads said he shouldn’t do, which was quite amusing. The show was struggling to find a narrative in the beginning, but the whole sewer fiasco really pulled it together and made you realize what a bunch of chowderheads were running the place. Like, send someone to Costco and buy a pallet of water, dummies! I don’t think it really succeeded as an experiment, but it was sure a revealing look inside their terrible jail system and hopefully all the staff watching were sufficiently embarrassed by it.
