Wwe in 2000 question

Hey Scott ,
Back in 2000, I remember wwe did a fake finish with Benoit winning the world title ( fully loaded and vengeance ) then have Foley come out and reverse the win. Were they planning on running a Benoit/Foley program? It just seemed weird that they did that and then just dropped it after it happened.

​Yeah, I’m not 100% sure what that was about, either. I know they didn’t actually have any plans to make Benoit the champion, so it wasn’t like they were doing a test run or anything. Gonna have to throw that one out to the blog.​
