Is there a more boring PPV than Bunkhouse Stampede ’88?
By Scott Keith on November 5, 2016
Hi Scott,
Long-time X first-time Y.
Like the rest of BOD Universe I am enjoying reading your Wrestling Observer Flashbacks. You’ve just reached Big Dave’s review of Bunkhouse Stampede and Royal Rumble, for 1988.
So, I’m watching Bunkhouse Stampede. Maybe half-way through. And I don’t think I can finish.
Dave’s description of Nikita Koloff v. Bobby Eaton, as being four moves and a hammerlock, is generous – I can only count three moves.
I can normally watch any crappy show to the end, but this is sapping my will! Not only is it dull but there’s just nothing to look forward to. It’s like being held-down and force-fed bag after bag of brown rice.
Question: Is there any PPV or other major show more goddamn boring than this one? Not simply bad but so ^&*% dull that you find yourself desperately wishing for a Bushwackers v Beverly Brothers match. Is there? One?
I was really, really, REALLY bored by the end of Wrestlemania this year, I can sure tell you that. Four hour WWE shows are NOT cool, and Carlito would spit in the face of them.
