Understated Debuts

I love how we all seem to make fun of Meltzer for understating the debuts of wrestlers who would go on to be big stars. But are there any understated debuts you have made. The ones who didn’t impress you all too much who would become bigger than you thought they would become?
I sure didn’t think that Master Blaster Steel would go on to become a multiple time World champion, especially after the Oz and Vinnie Vegas gimmicks. In 1993 I thought "Oh, cool, he’ll have a solid run as Shawn’s second banana" and then suddenly Diesel took off and the rest is history.
I actually didn’t think Kurt Angle would become a big star at the accelerated rate that he did. He was kind of just a guy when he debuted against Stasiak in late 99, and suddenly just assimilated everything wrestling-related like Skynet becoming self-aware. It was amazing to watch.
