Glorious Conundrum
By Scott Keith on September 16, 2016
Where would you go with Bobby Roode at this point with his direction? His epic entrance & known history makes the crowds cheer him, but the character is a heel?
Would you put him in face scenarios, having him feud with definitive heels? Keep him as is, let the crowd react naturally, and do away with traditional face/heel dynamics? Or have him do a "No Sing Along with The Rock" thing where he robs the crowd by purposely taking away the Glorious Entrance in a move to make him a more focused heel?
Ideally I think he and Austin Aries would make a great midcard tag team on Smackdown, but staying on NXT and putting over younger guys while mentoring them is a great direction as well. I’m not sure why he needs to be booed. Just let him be an arrogant, cheating heel like Eddie Guerrero. Plus he’s a guy who LOOKS like a World champion, so once Nakamura leaves he can be your top touring star as champ.
