All Promotions Created Equal

I found myself disappointed in how they are immediately doing away with the positive of a brand "winning the title for their show" with Steph announcing the Universe Champion and (more specifically) Smackdown saying they’re creating their own Womens & Tag Championship, thus having both shows with diluted roster for the Womens & Tag and killing what was supposed to be big triumphs for the brands. Wasn’t surprised, but left wishing they had just had the divisions gathered on one show.
One idea I had was what if instead of creating new Smackdown belts, Shane & Bryan came out saying they believe in gender equality or something, and created the first Mixed Tag Team Champions? It hasn’t been done in WWE before (unless I’m mistaken), and it allows a weak SD womens roster more to do.
You already have some established pairings like Miz/Maryse, you can use it to make new pairings in either a storyline sense or a "two people uniting for joint personal gain" sense, or just give some guys/gals with nothing to do something to strive for.
This would require some tweaking (send American Alpha & teams you care about to Raw so they are competing for gold & send others to SD for balance), but I think it could work. Don’t want to see guys beating on girls or anything, but I have many memories of good mix tag matches & it might be interesting to see more build on it…
Thoughts?
I’m not opposed to the idea in theory with certain guidelines, but the USA Network is VERY opposed to any physical interaction between men and women, so it would never ever happen. I really wouldn’t want it to become like Lucha Underground, though, where women get beat up for shock value and/or used as jobbers.
