House Show Circuit in the 80s

Did the New York fans, for example, realize that the same match being heavily promoted for MSG was also going to play in Philly, Boston, Baltimore or wherever else? Or did every city/house believe that they were getting "the" blowoff to a feud? Like, did Boston realize that Sammartino was going to wrestle Savage in every other city too, in matches that were likely carbon copies of each other? Because if they did, I can see that hurting interest, that the match in your town was just one of a series. Just wondering what people knew and when they knew it.

WELL I MEAN, we weren’t stupid as fans. Watching the Maple Leaf Wrestling syndicated show revealed that the same lineup was coming to Vancouver as the lineup in Seattle or Tacoma. I think everyone just accepted that as part of the deal. Now, it wasn’t until later that we started realizing that it was the same RESULTS and in some cases exact same match.
