Jack Victory

Hey Scott,

With the mention of Jack Victory in the epic last issue of the Observer I was wondering why Dave was so high on him.

I’ve never understood what the attraction to the character was. Just always seemed like a run-of-the-mill heel to me. And I never thought he stood out in the ring, yet he had success anywhere he went. Am I missing something? Or was it just a case of a guy being reliable every night and getting rewarded for that?

​I dunno, he was pretty good in the Tatum & Victory days with Missy and such, but never stood out to me as anything special. He was a hard worker in WCW as well, obviously, playing every masked character they could think of. And then he just kind of fell off the face of the earth for years until the completely random ECW revival period. I will say he had a great babyface wrestling name, but he was mostly a heel. ​
