Any insight as to why WWE staggers the announcement of released talent names throughout the day? The cynic in me thinks it smacks of drawing as many eyeballs to WWE.com as they can throughout the day so that they can hit us with "DID YOU KNOW: WWE has eleventy kajillion pages views this weekend!"

Has Vince found a way to monetize talent as he’s simultaneously showing them the door?

​Vince has found a surprisingly large number of ways to monetize people that don’t involve actually drawing money in the ring. It wouldn’t shock me if this was another one. Although why they feel the need to publicly trumpet how they fired all these geeks instead of just quietly letting them move on is something I’ll never really understand. ​
