Post Mania PPVs/Reigns

Hi Scott,

So I’ve been digging through the Network and really enjoying the post-Wrestlemania PPV series. The shows always seem to deliver one of the more consistently good shows of the year or at least features one standout match in the bunch. I’ve been enjoying reading your rants along with them as I go along and noticed you’re missing 6 shows in the series:

Backlash 2006, 2008, 2009

Extreme Rules 2010, 2011, 2014

Ever thought of breaking out some old school rants and polishing them off? Can we pretend I won a page views contest or something? Anyone else here want to see Scott bust out some rants? Comment below! We can badger him into doing it!!!!

Also, at this point do you feel Roman Reigns is now playing the role of John Cena around 2005-06? I was at Payback on Sunday (Are you SURE Styles/Reigns wasn’t ****?!) and it was mostly loud boos, there were many kids and women nearby cheering for ol’ Big Dog. If that’s the case, what’s the message to send? Boo him, cheer him, stop watching RAW, nothing seems to work to get the point across that the core of your audience doesn’t like the guy.

​John Cena in 2005 and 2006 was massively over and drew money. Reigns has shown exactly none of the signs of someone who should be pushed as the top guy thus far. He does fine in the ring with the right people, but he doesn’t have the aura of a top star yet and he doesn’t draw the same reactions that Cena drew. He’s not a bad guy, he’s not a good guy, he’s not THE guy, he’s just a guy.
