Wrestlemania 32 — Pre-Show Thread

It’s Wrestlemania Pre-show Thread time!

I’m currently sitting in JFK Airport where it’s WAY too cold for this southern girl.

Anyway, I’m not going to be one of those “Fuck Wrestlemania” types. I loved the NXT show. It’s probably the best show of the year so far. But I’ve always loved Wrestlemania and as bad as the build up for this one has been and as poor as the card looks I expect it will be better than anticipated.

Back to the NXT shows, I pretty much had my ratings similar to Scott’s if that sort of thing matters. I thought he shortchanged the women’s match a tad bit — I really enjoyed it once Asuka gave Bayley an open hand and she got pissed off. My favorite little nuance of the Bayley character is when her opponents mistake her kindness for weakness. And the choke out finish with the shocked crowd response was great.

Nakamure’s charisma is old school and I really believe that he is from the days of Gorgeous George and Buddy Rogers and those old types that could just have the crowd eating out of the palms of their hands. I hope Sami Zayn has a good run on the main roster because the guy has busted his ass getting guys like Owens, and Joe and now Nakamure over as major threats.

Otherwise, enjoy the three-hour pre show. Talk about how cute Renee Young is, etc. etc.
